I don't really sit and reminisce about how perfect my parents were... I laugh about the bat that got into my house because we left the door open during one of our big bonfires. I laugh about the silly dance and song my mom did in the kitchen. I remember the stupid songs in the car on road trips, the fail of homemade donuts that our dog wouldn't even chew on, and watching General Hospital with Mom after school. Your kids will not dwell on the house being a mess or dinner not being from scratch. They won't even dwell on you yelling when you get frustrated (my mom was a good yeller but I rarely even think about that). They're going to remember the flat tires and how you responded to them (LAUGH) and the burnt dinner and how you fixed that potential mess. You and Jesse are their heroes and not because you're perfect but because you're you :) Laugh it off. That's what I remember and admire my parents for the most.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02463776594487368056noreply@blogger.com
